About the founder
Mariadne Jares
An international business lawyer with Belgian, Hispanic, and Brazilian roots, and a strategist in international development, I am the founder of Conexus International—a firm dedicated to supporting companies in their growth projects abroad.
I bring my clients over 20 years of experience in developing complex international projects at the crossroads of law, business, and strategy.
My career has led me to work within business law firms, innovative companies, and European corporate groups, primarily in the industrial, life sciences (Sanofi, Sumitomo, Coris), and information technology (IT/SaaS) sectors. I have also led cross-sector projects in energy (Engie, CEA), cosmetics (L’Oréal, LVMH), and aerospace (Safran, Daher, Airbus, Thales), among others.
This expertise is grounded in hands-on field experience across Europe, Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile), Asia (Japan, South Korea, Thailand), and North America (Canada, Mexico), where I have led and overseen high-value assignments in complex multicultural environments.
Specialized in international trade and holding a Master’s degree in International and European Law (with distinction) from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), I oriented my career early on toward the economic aspects of cross-border exchanges.
I deepened my expertise in international finance, with a particular focus on international contracts, complex negotiations across jurisdictions, and contractual risk management.
Keen to address the concrete needs of companies in expansion phases, I strengthened my skills in managing legal and operational risks, with the aim of aligning regulatory compliance, operational security, and strategic performance in foreign markets.
